It was a lot of hard work and couple of times even frustration, but the 3D text rendering is now out!!! Use any textures & normal maps, even MatCap textures. Multiple lights supported! And of course, I’ll be adding new features it later on. Also, thing that I’ve wanted to implement long: ability to animate each letter independently. With 3D text and Mesh Mode: By Word or By letter, effects are applied when the word or letter comes visible, not when the first letter was rendered!
